Hi. I am looking for some kind of SMTP server software. I have used the first one you see on Google, but it's crap and it's the only other on I can find that isn't a trial. I can't use IIS. Any suggestions?

What have you been doing with it, or what were your issues with it?

I have not used it extensively. But I have some experience with it, so I might be able to help.

Though, it is the only free one I know besides, ANSMTP

well I have a webserver (Apache) on the same computer and when I try to use it as my smtp server (127.0.0.1) i can see it connect but it fails to send. emails work fine with the isp's smtp server. i am using opendns for the dns server.

I assume that this is a linux computer?
If it is, why not use your package manager, and just put in SMTP and come up with some SMTP servers?
