Default Fibre Optic companies in my area?

How do I go about finding who offers fiberoptic lines in my area?

or does anyone know a list of who can provide services?

My zipcode is 85282 (tempe, az)

Residential or Commercial application?

Looks like the main player in the Phoenix Metro is going to be Quest. There are offices in Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Mesa, so I imagine they would serve Tempe as well.

Alternatively, if you had the bankroll, you could get a dedicated line direct from businesses like Internap or Level3.

The 2nd poster is right, you really need to specify. If you're talking about residental fiber, currently verizon is the only company (to my knowledge) offering this service (FiOS).

If you're talking about commercial ($$$$) any of the local phone companys will pull a direct fiber connection (T1 up to DS3) to you and terminate it.

its in a residential area

Im also interested in getting it in an apartment (address stated above)

Looking to see cost of hosting a game server locally, hoping for rates of 30 down/15 up

Keep reaching for that dream.

You'll never get a fibre line from anyone other than Verizon in an Apartment Building.

Agreed, the commerical fibre lines which data centres have are direct lines to ISP's and cost thousands a month. Yes THOUSANDS.

You are going to have to look for a cable provider with a good upstream my friend.

You're best bet would be to either look at puting a server into a data-center, or buying a hosted server.

Hypernia will lease you an entire server for $300\month. It can host up to 5 games servers and vent....

AT&T offers residential fiber, at least in my area through U-Verse.

Yeah, or I could pay $100-$200 a month for the internet line and have as many quad core game servers as I want, as well as local management which is fantastic
