Default Network remote control software?

Hey Overclock.net,

I am trying to help out the local library better manage their public access computers. Right now, they are just basically setup and only have an admin account and a user account. I am looking for a good and FREE program which can access the computers' screens, control and lock, transfer files, and other basic functions of remote computer management.

I know my school uses a program called SycronizeEyes, but that costs money and I don't think the library wants illegally obtained software.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the link.

One quick question, can this control multiple computers at the same time? or just one by one?

Sorry if I didn't make that clear.
Thanks

I'm thinking that it's a peer to peer.. as opposed to a lab management setup. I ran a school lab for years and couldn't find something that would let me monitor more than 1 machine at a time from a remote connection. I was basically required to buy into the netsupport software (silly purchasing regulations) but it worked really well. It would be overkill for a few machines though.

best of luck with the hunt.

With this software you can create multiple links to multiple computers that are running the VNC server software. Switching between them is as simple as clicking on the window representing the particular machine you with to manage.

Its a great piece of software just be sure to secure it

cheers
