well, i was thinking about setting up my own IRC Bouncer (BNC) here on ym main rig which is Vista Ultimate x64.. and most IRC Bouncers are for UNIX or Linux.. is there any good for windows?

I would stop right here. Any flavor of windows is too insecure for a bouncer. go linux.

for me it would be as secure as on linux.. as it would accept connections only from within the LAN.. (as all ports are blocked from outside the LAN by my router)

well, i asked for good irc bouncers, which obiviously mean i want to know which bouncers are good, what experiences do people have about these etc.. i know how to google, but i cant read peoples minds to find out which bouncers are good and which are not
