Default Web commands for router help

I been reading alot today about my router (BEFSER41) and my access point (WAP54G). Something I never really thought about was that they have memory/flash memory and a cpu clocked @ certain speeds.

I also read that you're able to check how much free ram and cpu speed and lots of other statistics via the web browser using commands. But I cant find the basics on how to actually check this or the commands.

I found this website http://www.networktutorials.info/router_commands.html and others like it that only show commands but not exctally how to enter them.

Like IE:

Quote:
General Commands

Here is a list of the general commands. These are the basic level commands and most commonly used
no shutdown - (enables the interface)
reload - restarts the router
sh ver - Cisco IOS version, uptime of router, how the router started, where system was loaded from, the interfaces the POST found, and the configuration register
sh clock - shows date and time on router
sh history - shows the history of your commands
sh debug - shows all debugging that is currently enabled
no debug all - turns off all debugging
sh users - shows users connected to router
sh protocols - shows which protocols are configured
banner motd # Your customized message here # - Set/change banner
hostname <give router name> - use to configure the hostname of the router
clear counters - clear interface counters
take sh clock, pretty simple but I enter http:\\192.168.1.1\sh clock and all i get is 404 not found.

Anybody care to share on how to use the web commands for routers?

Try just entering http://192.168.1.1/. Your router probably uses a slightly different menu system. Most modern routers use a GUI, so you should be able to navigate to those features from the main page. If that doesn't work, go into your PC's network settings and check that the router's address is indeed 192.168.1.1. If it is something different, substitute that in place of 192.168.1.1.

I can do that just fine. I want to look at things like router uptime, ram, cpu usage, and other stuff like that. I guess its like a debug menu or something.

It very well may be hidden away in a debug menu or whatnot, but chances are your router's firmware just doesn't support those features. Check around the web a little bit, but you might have to do without.
