Default Help: Need Wireless spectrum analyzer
I need a software wireless spectrum analyzer to attach to my wireless pci card.

Does such a thing even exist and if so anyone know of a good one? I tried google but every one i came across wanted you to buy the little dongle

What exactly do you mean by "spectrum analyzer"? If we're talking in terms of like "science geek" spectrum analyzer, your wifi card was never designed to be that precise.

If we're talking about scanning all wifi channels for nodes, net stumbler is magic .

The common wireless NIC is NOT capable os analyzing a spectrum, because it doesn't have the hardware to do so. Sorry
