Default Quick Help Printer Sharing

i just got a new ML-1640, i installed it on my laptop Xp 32 Bit, and i clicked on "share this printer" in the options. Now ive tried see the computer on my 64 bits vista desktop but it wont see it. I tried installing the 64 bits driver on the laptop, it wont work even if it says that i need additional driver if the OS are not the same on the network. Ive tried installing the ML-1640 64 bit driver on my desktop 64bits, but it ssays the printer needs to be connected to the computer to install correctly. (but its installed on the laptop)...... So, how can I share the printer with my vista 64 bits desktop if i cant install the driver

Have you tried going (on the laptop) Start >> Control Panel >> Printers and Faxes >> right click on the printers name >> Properties >> Sharing >> Additional Drivers. Make sure the x64 driver box is checked. It may ask for the drivers, just put in the 64 bit driver disk.
