Default About routers

Can anyone please tell me what's the best wireless router for gaming? I've been checking on the Belkin N1 vision, thanks in advance.

I'd look at the D-Link DGL4500. Behind the flashy exterior is a serious piece of equipment with lots of options.

a second for the gigabit gaming routers from dlink -- nice hardware without an insane price tag...

due to my requirements i run a pair of pfsense boxes for my routers but the software is free but you will need a computer to load it to... plus it may be more work than you are looking for.

you're not going to see much change with an adapter that's any better than the on-board in most cases... if your gaming desktop is your sig rig, you won't need anything else...

No, I meant one of those USB receivers so my desktop can receive the Wi-Fi, because my desktop has no wireless support out of the box.

If you want the best USB (b/g) wifi adapter I'd suggest the Alfa 500mw with an optional 9dbi antana. The 2dbi antana that comes with it is fantastic through..

normally you'd want to pair the adapter with the router... ie d-link wifi with d-link router/ap as they will perform best that way...
