Default Nokia home media to VIA WRT54GL router

Ok, first off I am a complete networking idiot, ok not that bad but still am.

What I am looking to do is use my Nokia N79's home media function to control/stream music to phone via WiFi from my computer.

I am using Windows 7 x64 and what ever media centre it comes with (at work can't check), my computer is connected to my Linksys WRT54GL (DD-WRT v23) router via Ethernet and the internet is connected to the router.

I am requiring to connect to my computer's media centre via the routers wireless access point.

Ok that about explains it,

I have turned on media steaming in windows media centre, and have it set to allow all devices to connect on my LAN connection to the router, now when I scan for media from my cell phone (connecting to router WLAN) I get nothing.

So any info, direction, or painfully detailed procedure will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!

Can you connect to the internet with your phone when it's connected like that, and can you verify that this connection is in fact through your wireless and not your providers net?

Yes I connect to the internet from my phone via the router's internet connection, not through my cell phone provider, I am 100% positive about that one (I check via the connection manager of the phone and the router shows my phone as a client)

The easiest way to do that is to go to myip.dk to see what your actual IP is. Sometimes the phone decides that using the cellular network is a better idea than using the wireless (had that happen way too much and got a huge bill because of it). Once you're sure that it does connect through the wireless network, we can continue troubleshooting.

The IP is set to auto, and the phone does not make a GPRS connection, and my WLAN light flashes, so I am connected to the router via WiFi 100%

Ok. Have you verified that the media sharing option in the networking options of Windows 7 is enabled?

I have no way to double check this, I have to take the word of the player,

I have enabled (http://download.cnet.com/i/bto/20090...yer_stream.png) I selected Remote control and sharing,

Then I get an Image like this http://media.arstechnica.com/journal...-streaming.png however Here I only see my LAN which is set to allow (not the other stuff in the picture) where I would expect to see my phone because It is connected to my router.

Please note I am not at home so I cant show you my exact Images I see, but these will show you the types of screens I am seeing.

Thanks so far

Wow ok, I don't know why it's doing that, then. Has it worked before at all?

This is the first time I am every trying something like this (actually only got router a month ago so its been a networking month).

Also should I be able to see my phone in windows 7 networking, cause it is a device connected to the router, and if it was another comp I would see there shared folders.

Maybe I'll play around with the IP, like can I ping it etc. and use a static IP, not a DHCP one.
