I have a Linksys router set up as a repeater.
I have been told that using a repeater cuts bandwidth in half. Does it cut the bandwidth of the entire network in half? Or just the people on the other side of the repeater? Is there a better way to increase the signal strength using the linksys router without cutting bandwidth? Thanks, -Sawx

I'm not sure about the bandwidth,I wouldn't think so it's gathering the signal and just regenerating it.You could just setup the router to be an access point on the network.

I have DD-WRT... Should I make it a client? A client bridge?

A wireless bridge will in theory halve the highest possible bandwidth over wireless, because it's half duplex.

Client mode isn't what you want to do. Client mode turns your router into a wireless adapter with 4 ports.

Ok I ended up doing client mode and hooking into the router through lan cabling.
How should I port forward utorrent? Forward it to my IP on the client router, and forward it to the client router on the main router? +Rep guys thanks.

For forwarding on the router go to Access Restrictions>Port Forwarding,App = uTorrent,Port from/to = 14089,Protocol I selected both.Click Enable & Apply settings. In the uTorrent config page go to Options>Preferences>Connection.Make sure you check Add Windows firewall exception & add the incoming port.
I'm not sure what Linksys router you have, but it should be basically the same you can follow this guide if you want. http://www.portforward.com/english/r...L/Utorrent.htm
