Default NOD32 or Kaspersky

My renewal is coming up this month for my AV (NOD32) and am wondering if I should renew it or look into Kaspersky (I find these 2 to be the best after reading reviews). I got NOD32 last year based on the fact that it uses the least amount of resources of all AV programs (Atleast I was told that ). Overall its a really good program, but how do people feel about Kaspersky compared to it?

I've never used anything else other than Mcafee, Norton and Kaspersky and I must say I'm a big Kaspersky fan nowadays. Not only is Kaspersky beautiful to look at but it also protects my computer pretty well.

I have some computers that run NOD32 4 and mine that runs Kaspersky AV 2010, and I'd have to say that Kaspersky does seem to catch more malware, though I havent been able to check if NOD32 is on resources because that computer is down. In the long run though I'll go Kaspersky over NOD32 every time.

I'm a Kaspersky user & have been for years, it's a good product, they have plenty of support & help if you need it, as far as I'm aware NOD32 is indeed lowest footprint on the resources but overall Kaspersky & NOD32 are 2 of the best & I don't think either 1 would be a wrong choice. It seems more like a preference choice, just choose the one you feel is right for you.

Kaspersky has a little bit bigger virus signature database than Nod32 but uses up a lot of resources.

Nod32's virus signature database is almost as good but doesn't use as many resources as Kaspersky.
If care at all for resource usage go for Nod32, if not, kaspersky.
I voted Nod32.

I gave Kaspersky Internet Security a try the other day. I found it to really bog down the start up of windows. Also it was not updating properly, and when I did hit update it really like hammered the system for some odd reason. So I went back to NOD32 Smart Security.

NOD32 is the only antivirus that I have never had to clean up after. People bring me slow virus-infested computers with norton, trend, avg, and others (but no kaspersky, FWIW). Never had a problem in 3 years of its use on 4 computers. For this, NOD32 is the only AV I run on my machines, and to this day remains the only AV that I can confidently recommend.
