Default Is the Netscreen 5xp outdated?

I'm wondering if the Netscreen 5xp is outdated anymore because of the built in firewalls that are being included on pretty much all routers anymore. I bought one years ago while I was taking Cisco classes to play with and ran across the unit, but didn't know if it was worth keeping. Thanks for any info!

Some companies still use them. Not sure how much there are worth though. The company I used to work for had some in place, I never put any in place, but I saw plenty in use.

Are you wondering if this is worth any money, or worth any educational value to play about with?

for money, about $50 bucks on ebay - I'm not really going to play with it because I hate command line interface. I'm just going to have to try to sell it sometime I guess (*waits for enough rep to post in For Sale section of forum )

Ebay is probably your best bet since you don't have the rep. Looks like they are going for $20-$75 on Ebay right now. Might also try Craigslist.

I've tried craigslist - but the chances of it getting picked up there are slim/none. I'll just toss it back into a drawer for awhile until i get the needed rep over the next weeks/months
