Default do opened web browsers slow down downloads?

does openened web browsers slow down torrent download?

example

left pc with firefox (multiple tabs) and azureus/vuze..

will the downloads in vuze/azurues slow down?

does the browser consume bandwith even though it is not used?

It shouldn't unless you have a limited connection speed and its sending "Anonymous user information" to the company for tracking and statistics purposes.

No. Any impact will be marginal.

what exactly do you mean sir?

limited connection?

sends what? so it depends on the site? there could be a site that sucks the bandwith so much when i idle in that specific site?

It depends heavily on the site. If you have Googles homepage open, if may send a couple kilobytes per minute at most. If you have a site with ads, flash, or java, it could refresh the page multiple times a minute and use more bandwidth. There are javascripts to refresh the page, and there are scripts for rotating ads on a site so if someone is reading a particular page for a certain length of time, it will display multiple ads. However, no web page is going to suck up all available bandwidth just having it open and walking away from the computer.

So, in the strictest sense, some opened tabs in the browser might slow down my downloads (either direct or torrent) even if it is in the most minute.

but in "real life application", it is most likely negligible?

They might slow down your downloads slightly, but you'd need a graph to notice it, and then you'd have to zoom into it to see anything.

As long as your not using it. It will keep your system in idle 0 percent load.

If you use it and the tabs then u see some activity... gl
