hey guys,
let me clarify, I am trying to play music from my computer on another computer in another room of the house. and I want to control the other computer from mines. So i decided to connect to the other pc remotely and share my music folder, but that just results in me playing the music from my computer on my computer through the other one

so my question is, how, if possible, can I play the music on my PC on another one while in the remote desktop connection?

when connecting check the advanced options and enable sound through the remote connection.

However, I am not sure it is meant to be used like that. When using remote connection there are different sound drivers being used. Thus I am not 100% sure you will be able to listen to music directly through the remote connection.

Why you want to listen directly thru the remote connection I am not sure .. but wouldnt it just be easier to setup a stream? using VLC or winamp? That way you dont have to share the folder over the network. Even though sharing folders over the network would be easiest and would result in the best sound quality.

Hmmm can't really help, but i use my nokia and windows media player to play music, from what i understand i can play a song on my hifi from the comp, or play it to my phone (which i do) or visa versa

From what I understand, you want to have the music transferred to a volatile memory space and then deleted after you are done playing. If you need it again, you grab it and play it?
