Does the WRT54GS V4 support gigabit? I would like to get cat6 cable for the router and my computer and was just wondering.

Will it still support Cat6? And would I notice any difference?

Yes it will support Cat6. You probably won't notice a difference unless you're transferring huge files over the network.

It's highly unlikely you'll notice any substantial gain installing CAT6 on the 100mbit switch on the WRT56GS. Over properly-crimped CAT5 or CAT5E? Waste of money. Save that extra bit of cash for a gigabit switch or something.
