Hey,
Now, I'm a complete newbie to VLANs and right now we have everyone on one network, with around half of the clients on a domain, the other half on a workgroup, all are being assigned DHCP by a Win 2003 server. So when we move the network into the two VLANs we want to create I am assuming we have to move the DHCP assigning from the server to the switches? I haven't really done anything with VLANs before so it's all new to me. Also, we have laptops on wireless that also need splitting into their prospective VLANs, how would this work? Thanks

For what I understand about VLAN's, no you shouldn't; as long as you use CDP enabled swithes, they will discover automaticly all the devices on each segment and will auto configure (including your DHCP).
If you use RIP/RIPv2 between your switches you might need to, depending on your topology.. Any chance of seeing your layout?

Just out of curiosity, any particular reason why half of the client machines aren't on the domain? Do they ever access domain resources?

They never needed to be, it was easier just to keep the profiles on the machines (Staff laptops and Office desktops, the others are classroom computers), although we may well move them over to another domain in the future, it would make things easier.
