you need to select the files/folders you want to share and add them to your libary (the button to click to add to library is in the address bar at the top of the explorer window)

Yeah uhh i dont think that has much to do with sharing. You need to click sharing and it shares the folder. It shouild then work if set up properly in the network & sharing centre. like i have done in the pics. i had previously had it done on my last install on WIn7 just not my latest. Any ideas? I really wanna share these files while im at my mates house. + Rep to whoever finds out the problem. Thanks guys, Leave me lots of ideas and comments
will get back to you guys soon.

Honest I don't know how to do it manually but I did have some luck using Vista Services Optimizer (works for 7). In the Automatic Tune-up, its asks if you share files over a network and turns on services that relate to sharing. You can also fiddle with the Manual Tune-up to turn off services you don't need.

With Vista, it seemed I needed to have a password to my logons so I could share files/folders between my desktop/laptop. So, when I installed 7 on both machines, I basically did the same thing. The only setting I see I would change that you showed is the password protection.
Just my

Don't worry, I was reading until the early morning last night i fixed my problem i checked the next morning to see if i was sharing. Here's how i fixed my error. I used this site (http://www.askmarvin.ca/forums/index.php?showtopic=769) Thanks for the help guys
Also, this may only work for SOME people depending on the errors they are having. But i know what my settings had to be and the way i fixed was going to Local Security Settings then going to Local Policies then follow that to Security Options. After that scroll down to the networking section and i found that my anonymous enumeration of SAM accounts was enabled and a person on that forum had said to turn it off. Mine was in fact enabled. I switched it off and went to bed and checked the next morning and it works. So thanks guys. Once again rep goes to them i dont take any credibility for that haha but thread is resolved. I hope if u have any problems that this may work for you. Thanks again OCN
