The only site it seems that I can download a decent sized file is fileplanet.com. That's because if the downloads time out or whatever their download program reconnects it to the exact spot the last one stopped at and can also reconnect it itself. I'm trying to download a large skin pack for HL mod: The Specialists and its 768mb; I can't get past 250 mb without the download stopping; any solutions?

Nope, it's always been like this, I have Cable now: Roadrunner (Linksys Router Wireless-D) with a cable modem from the broadband company. I guess its the router; it always happened when I had DSL too -- but my D/L rate is fine, its ~ 500-650kb, it just likes to cut off. I've heard routers cause it.
