Hey guys i just bought this new router http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16833127158 im wondering how can i force this to go 1000mbps since my mobo and router supports 1000mbps on lan.

the router itself should do it automatically or you may have to dig around in the config/ log in to the router... other thing you could try is to change your nics properties... Control Panel > Network Connections > Right click Local Area Connection > Properties > Configure... (next to the name of your nic) > Advanced > Link Speed/ Duplex Mode > Select 1000Mbps/ Full Duplex in the Value pulldown

I can be such an idiot sumtimes, i forgot to switch it to auto sensing thats why it wasnt showing 1gps. thanks the_nut
