Default Ports Will not Open

I have a linksys BEFSR81 router.

My problem is, when I try and use DMZ or just open all the ports on my computer (I did "ipconfig /all" and i am running on 192.168.1.101) nothing happens. I do a port scan, and they all still appear to be blocked, or closed. I do not have windows firewall on (I set it to off).

Any ideas?

I wouldnt use dmz unless you really need it

log in to the router, click "Applications & Gaming" and you should be on the "Port Range Forward" page... has that not worked?

I tried that and it doesnt work, thats why I went to dmz, and that isnt working either. I think its a setting within xp, but I have windows firewall down, what else can it be?
