problem again, well i have my computer networked to a older computer on my computer network the problem i have is that in the connection settings there isnt a internet protocol, and when i try to install one, nothing is there to relate to this, theres a option have disk so i was wondering if anyone may know a location on where i can get the protocol

you need to go to network from the control pannel and on the config. tab select add>protocal>tcp/ip. you will need the ME disk or at least some windows disk. I didnt realize you had the modem connect to one machine with usb. thought you had it plugged into the hub. the usb takes the place of the second NIC. what OS is on comp1. Its not ME also is it? God i hope its XP!

its xp, comp1 is my rig, i have tried going into add protocol but internet TCP/IP isnt there, i have tried downloading a .inf file but that seems not to work, i aint sure what fileso n the windows me disk i could find the protocol,
