Default network connection bridging?

wat does it mean to bridge two or more network connections? is that like taking two different internets and using them as one to have a faster Mbp/s?

if i bridge my verizon DSL with my neighbor's wireless optimum online would i get a 4.5 Mbp/s internet connection?

is that wat bridging means?

I think what you mean is more like multi-linking (check this webpage for a definition)
I'm not sure you can do this by bridging two connections. Bridging allows you to connect two LANs not to double your Internet bandwith.

The network bridge provides an inexpensive and easy way to connect local area network (LAN) segments.
Here's another link on how to create a network bridge.
