Right now my wired computer is on a different workgroup than the wireless but it can see the wireless workgroup but it says "The network path was not found" if I click on it.

go to start--->run---> then type \\computername
obviously use the name of the computer you're trying to connect to

I think you will need to be on the same workgroup to begin with.

The \\NAME doesn't work, it always says "a network path could not be found" or something to that effect.

Well, I figured out what the problem is, kind of by accident. For the past week or so whenever I got a phone call on our cordless phone if I picked it up after more than 2 rings it would sound like a modem was trying to connect on the line. So when it did this again today I unplugged the router and it stopped. So I look at the phone and it says it runs on the 2.4GHz band.

I think I can change the frequency of the wireless card but not the router, that would require a hard-mod which I don't want to or need to do.

The wireless A standard operates on a 5 mhz band instead of 2.4 mhz like B and G. However it doesn't have very good range in comparison.
