Network/Security Specialists?
Are there any in here? Im currently enrolled at a tech school in the IT Network Specialists program. Just wondering if there were any in here. Did you continue to 4 year program? Any other certificates you took? Is there good advancement? Good money? Just want to make sure I made a good move

Well in my college you have the 1st year which covers all aspects of IT then in the second year you choose your pathway namely Networking. After that year of Networking you can go on to a First diploma qualification.

Hopefully there are a lot of ISP's and colleges around you, those will usually hire people out of associate school for entry level, you should be able to place there, then make sure you go on to get your bachelor's at night at a decent state college.
If you wanna impress ISP's, etc, focus on learning about: OSPF, SNMP, subnetting/vlans, and Cisco, most infrastructures still are Cisco. Linux runs the back end where I'm at, which was my 'in'.
