I will start out with the common: Hi.

Quick Bio: Been into computers most of my 18 years of my life. The first time i remember being on a computer was a black screen with green writing and i was trying to draw pictures. I was prolly about 5-ish. Ive been into gaming alot and knew more than the average person about computers. I recently felt like checking out how much a dream computer of mine would cost if i were to buy it. Surprisingly enough to me it came to under 1000 dollars. I then decided i would actually make this computer of mine. I then started to check if the parts i picked out were compatible, some were some were not. I fine tuned what i wanted (and i am still making final touches) and the total is a bit over 1200. So, the parts i have are:

Logitech Mouse
Acer 19" Plasma
EVGA 8800 GTS 320mb
Xaser V Damier V6000+ Case

These are the remaining parts that i have to buy:

EVGA nForce 680i SE SLI

Intel Core 2 Duo - 2.66GHz

Dont know wireless card. Prolly 108 mps or more.

4 Gigs of ram
OCZ Platinum Revision
or/and
2x or 4x pqi Turbo
or/and
G.Skill

2x Seagate 320GB Going Raid 0 or Raid 5 if i get one more.

Getting a second 8800GTS for SLI once i get enough funds.

Still looking for power supply - 750+

Windows Vista - Want 64 bit, but not sure if i want Ultimate, only 64 H.Premium, or 32 Home Premium then buy 64 H.Premium.


Well, after typing this up i actually have some stuff i gotta pick. I would love to hear any suggestions / compliments / complaints / ect. I need some help haha thanks.

Welcome. A good plan. I would get a 8800GT instead of 8800GTS. Invest a bit more $ for your case that has better airflow especially in SLI.

well, i already have case and GTS, but i am planning on customizing the side panel to increase air flow. thanks for the suggestion.
