Hi. I joined this site almost a year ago mainly just to ask a question about a hard drive, but haven't posted since.

Now I have come back with another question.

In the past all I have wanted to use computers for was for video games and word documents and stuff like that. Unfortunately I was unable to get a PC because I had no room for one in my room so I was stuck with laptops.

Now for my most recent birthday I asked for a gaming PC with a parts list that I constructed from looking around on Newegg.com. I got the PC assembled and from the looks of it when this thing is up and running it'll be able to easily run Crysis in very high settings.

Now here is my problem that I hope you guys can help me with. The computer is assembled as I said and I've decided to put Windows Vista Home Premium onto the computer (just for DirectX 10). For some reason the computer turns off automatically after being on for a period between 5 and 20 seconds. The only thing I did when I managed to turn it on was to go into the BIOS stuff and set the date and time.....

Although I barely did that before it shut off on me. Then I turned it back on, put the vista disc in the disc drive and it started detecting devices and eventually started to boot from the windows disc. It was almost done loading the files when it shut off on me...

It has done that about 20 times now and it is frustrating me to no end. Do you guys know what could be happening? If needed I can put a list of parts up.

You should fill out your system specs in the user control panel so that we know what you're using.
