Default Whats up yall!!

Im looking forward to my stay here as i plan to start learning more and more about overclocking.

I still consider myself a newb to computers but i do get the basics, ive replaced a HD or two, i understand all the components, what they do and how they work etc.....I look at it this way, if i can build a 400 HP small block......i shouldn't have a problem building a fast desktop......right? lol

I recently just got a "hand me down" gateway computer from a friend to hold me over till i can start a real build...He is a moron, he only had 1 fan....thats it....and it was exhausting air out the back....not even a fan on the CPU sink......with no side cover on .....

Needless to say when attempting to use the windows recovery CD it shut off and when i restarted it told me the CPU overheated....so i put a box fan right next to the computer and was able to make it through the install and so far everything is fine but this chip is running hot as hell IMO, i DL'd speedfan and at idle its like 54 and just running firefox, windows media, and a game im pushing 65-70. Im going to buy a Zalman CNPS 9500 on Friday and possibly another case fan but i dont see any other connectors to put more fans i only see 3? for now i have a 80mm fan zip tied to the heat sink which dropped it about 10cit was running 64 at idle

Also heres a link to my future build as money permits, i ****ed up and got a DUI in march so $$$ is a LITTLE tight right now

http://www.overclock.net/amd-build-l...rst-build.html

Also heres a CPU-Z shot....As you can tell im at 59c and i really dont have too much open

If anyone has any hints/comment/suggestions all help is appreciated, my last computer was a dell web pc with a celeron processor so even this is a big jump for me but its still not fast enough i know i need to buy some more memory too.

Thats also my 70 in the back....well, it used to look like that this is what it is now, needs floorboards, a new cowl and some other cancer areas but the frame is straight and rust free

Hi, but those cars are easy, all the parts are exposed.. I doubt wether you could do that on a modern BMW or something.
