Thumbs up Just a hello from "Mr. Noob"

Hi all. I am new to the forums as of today.

I am waiting for the last few components of my new PC to arrive (should be tommorow). This is the first PC I have assembled myself and also my first serious project (my current, and first, PC is a cruddy HP that is older than dirt).

My new PC is based on a P4 640 (3.2 HT), and has 1GB DDR2 rated at 800MhZ (for starters ), a Nvidia 6800GT and an Asus P5WD2 Premium mobo. For now I will be running only air, but my case has 6 80mm fans and I ordered a pretty beefy heatsink/fan from thermaltake so it should run fairly cool.

I am hoping that with your help I will be able to get 'er up and running and start overclocking . Any thoughts as to my setup. or any questions are all welcome. I look forward to working with all of you.

Welcome to the boards man, and I'm Mr.N00b hahaha.
When you get time check out the FAQs section ( in my signature ) and the F@H section. Also check out the Downloads section, as it has many useful programs. I would edit your hardware profile as suggested above. You can also feel free to post on any computer issue you have here =)
That's a nice setup you have thier, what PSU you have?

Wow. I go to bed and wake up to all this help and supprt. I think I'm gonna like it here.

I gotta run to work so I wont get to update my profile til later today, but dont worry, its on my list of things to do.

As for my PSU, I got the Ultra X-Connect 500, which you can look at here . I haven't been able to talk to anyone that has had one, but it looked pretty damn cool and I figured 500W is plenty.
