Default How to: Keep track of your favorite posts.

I am collaborating with IEATFISH on this guide. He will provide a link later on in his Overclock.net: Site Features and Explanations Guide. Feel free to add any suggestions, or correct any mistakes.

Hello again, and welcome to Overclock.net(OCN)

Some sections of the OCN forum move very quickly with multiple posts and new threads every minute. This can make it difficult to find the threads you started, or contributed to, without searching through multiple pages of posts. I will show you two ways you can track your favorite threads quickly and easily.

1. OCN includes an easy shortcut to find the last 100 posts you have made, or threads you have started.

  • From the OCN homepage find, and click on, your name in the Currently Active Users area. Hint: your name will always be posted first.

  • On the next screen navigate to the Statistics tab and click on it.

  • Here you will find the link to see all the threads you have contributed to.

  • Thats it 3 clicks and you have instant access to all your threads.

2. The second option is called thread subscription.

This will be used for threads you want to watch, but maybe haven't posted in.
  • First find an interesting thread. Navigate to thread tools and click on the tab. On the drop down menu click on Subscribe to this thread.
  • You will then have options for email notifications if you desire them.

  • If you want to edit your subscription options click on Edit Options in the UserCP.
  • The Default setting is Do Not Subscribe. This will allow you to manually subscribe to threads as shown above, but will not enable Auto Subscribe.
  • Choosing any of the drop down options will enable Automatic Subscriptions. Every time you make a post you will automatically subscribe to that thread.

  • To find your subscribed threads click on UserCP and they will be listed for you. Threads that have new posts will be in bold.

There you have it. Two easy ways to keep track of your favorite threads here at OCN.
