I am new to this site. A friend of mine recommended that I come here because I just got a computer he says would be amazing if I oc'd. He told me this would be the place for some advice about that. First question is what program would I use to overclock my nvidia gtx 295?

My computer specs are as follows:

Processor: Intel Core i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Video Card:NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295
Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Premium
Motherboard: Gigabyte P55-UD4P

If you need more specs to help me overclock please let me know.

Do a search in the forums for "overclock gtx 295" and you'll probably find plenty of links.

I personally use Rivatuner to overclock my 8800gt and FurMark to test stability

Edit - You can also go into your user control panel, and put those specs into a system like below in my profile

welcome to the forums, you have come to the right place,

first of all fill in your comp specs, go to User CP at the top and then Edit System on the left

to overclock the CPU, you simply go into BIOS and tweak it there

for the GPU, you do it with software, what i would recommend it RivaTuner
