Default Just saying hi!
I just started to get back into computers again. I now have a much greater knowledge and understanding which will assist me in making a new machine.

The computer I'm working with now is an HP a839n that I bought stock back in 2005 when I was a senior. I first threw in a Gainward FX5200 and a second 512 MB stick of ram. That did fine for a while until the end of 2008 when it could bearly play the games I was playing.

Next up I ditched the mismatched ram sticks and bought a matched pair of Corsair 2 GB memory. At the same time I also upgraded to a 7600 GS, one of the last AGP cards produced. Also had to upgrade the PSU. I went cheap and got Hec. Thankfully it's still holding out.

Now I'm going after some real modifications. First up, a Lian Li PC-60BPLUSII. This should greatly solve my heat issues that I'm having now. My computer is currently idling at 58* C as I type this. At the same time I'm upgrading to a Corsair 750TX power supply to handle my future plans which include a new motherboard, an AMD quad core processor, 6 GB of memory and most likely a 9800 Nvidia card. Maybe something better, we'll have to wait and see.

Sorry for rambling but that's my quick introduction.
