I actually heard about that deal when I was at microcenter buying a couple more fans, but I bought this from a builder who got left hanging in the middle of a custom build for someone. Whether or not that's actually the honest true story of how he sold it for $625 I dont really know.

Welcome to the forums. Looks like a good deal there. Even at 2.6ghrz it isn't slow by no means. And for that price it is a great deal also.

do you think there's any reason to keep the $180 blu ray burner if I dont ever watch blu rays? I dont see a huge future for optical media.
