We go back to the counter and get our ID's back. Then we just start talking with the guy. Well, ten minutes into the conversation, I ask the guy why the controlers were kinda messed up and why we had to go down and up to steer instead of aiming the controlor left and right. Thats when he pointed out that we played the game for an hour, holding the frickin controler wrong. You were supposed to hold it with two hands and one on each end of the stick and steer that way.....we walked and and just started laughing so hard. I don't think I have ever been so stupid playing a game before lmao....SO...if you see a tutorial!!!! USE IT

Although, even though we weren't using the control correctly, it was still quite fun. However, the only game I would want it for is Zelda so I think I am going to hold off getting it and buy an Xbox 360 for now with a bunch of games...

Just wanted to share my Wii story

yeah, I actually have a funny Wii story as well that involves excite truck.

so, Saturday night I was in OH for a wedding (wedding was over) so my wife and I were checking out the town and we thought we'd go ask how many wii's the local EB games was getting in. low and behold they had one set up to play and there's a kid and his mom there, the kid is playing.
So, it's just this kid, his mom, 2 employees and my wife and I in the store. so they set up 2 player mode so we can play as well.

so I let my wife go first, she's not too sure about it but I encourage her to give it a go and she races this kid who has been playing who knows how long... and she beats him, then hands me the remote. I'm racing him and right before crossing the finish line I crash and the kid crosses the line... to which my wife says, "he just beat you." and I replied "No he didn't... I lapped him, he's still got a full lap to go." And no one says anything for a minute and then the mom looks at this kid (who is actually probably about 14-16) and says to him "you're never getting your license!" And he starts protesting saying he'd beat everyone on Halo and stuff like that. My wife and I made our exit while chuckling to ourselves.

so anyway, I've played excite truck and was thinking that was the way to go, but w/o playing or hearing much about the other racing games I wasn't entirely sure which way to go.

i have gt pro series. its a pretty cool game. the visuals arent stunning. the gameplay is pretty good but there could be more tracks. they only have japaneese cars but thats not such a bad thing as they have like every jap car out, even minivans! theres drift mode which i love. overall a game just for race enthusiest.

I haven't played Excite Truck yet, but after watching the X-Play review, I will be getting it when I get my Wii.

So I got excite truck and I have to say it is extremely fun.

It's fast paced, part control, part holding on for the ride.

A feature that I wasn't expecting was on there. You can load mp3's onto your SD card and it will play a song of your choice while you race.

Yeah, I picked up excite truck on Sunday night, but have only had time to play it for about 40 min. It's mainly for my wife anyway. Racing games are her favorite genre. I also won an ebay auction for NFS Carbon that totaled less then $50 shipped so we'll give that game a try as well.
