Hey, I don't own a tv but I am now in possession of a gamecube (and also a terrible addiction to super smash bros

I asked an employee and he said "You can't make a conversion like that, it's more complicated when you try to go from digital to analog". I don't have a clue about any of this stuff so I just took his word, but it sounds kinda like bs to me :-p Anybody know how I could pull this off? (connecting a gamecube to a PC monitor). Thanks a bunch!

me too!Yeah, on Ebay or elsewhere, you can get a composite to VGA converter. This way, you'll have to disconnect the computer input and use the GC instead. Hope that helps! ![]() edit: linky to one not 480P or anything fancy...

Thanks man. I actually discovered a cable that might work at my house, but if not I'll order that one. Woot

Bah humbug. The cable I found has composite in and s-video out, but my monitor doesn't have s-video in. Poop!
__________________I think tomorow I'll take a trip over to best buy (I'm back in boston now, maybe the bestbuy here will have stuff the one at home doesn't) and see if they have anything that would work. If not I'll order what you linked from ebay I spose. Thanks

I see how much better the GC version is, but if you have an addiction so badly, why not just emulate the 64 version?

I know there are actually some adapters like that. if i have time I'll search for it. Another alternative is a tv tuner or the video card you have. Some video cards come with a program and input connector that works together so the monitor can display something from an outside source through the video card.

Well, I just got back from bestbuy... They didn't have specifically what I wanted , but microsoft makes something like that for xbox. I could have bought the xbox component->VGA adapter, and then bought a coupling link thingy, but that would be too much effort and money for something I can buy on ebay for 15 bucks (2 bucks plus shipping
