Get the CycloDS (+ EZ Flash V 3-in-1 Expansion Pack if you want to play GBA games + use NDS web browser), best combo right there - R4 is outdated, used to be good, well it's okay now but as I said, it is outdated. Not worth getting it now...

I'm pretty sure I'm going to get an R4 unless somebody makes me a good offer on a cyclo.
$35 shipped for an R4 + EZflash 3in1 is too good to pass up.

Apparently R4 is going to release a new firmware update on the 15th of September.

I did buy an R4, an EZ Flash 3in1, a 2gb Micro SD card, a black DS Lite, some Yugioh game that came with it, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (haven't gotten into it yet), and Glory Days 2 (each level takes a while (for me at least) and it's hard ).

I didn't realize anybody wanted an update on my predicament, thanks

I shall be flooding the Graphics & Design forum with tons of skins for it.

I bought a 2GB Polaroid MicroSD for my R4, and It feels faster than my 1GB Kingston Japan, so I was reminded of this thread.

I'm tempted to buy a cheap(er) CycloDS Knockoff in a little while (called the edgecard?) and compare them. Maybe I can find/adapt the CycloDS OS/firmware/whatever to the R4. I'm wondering if there are more than just visual mods for the R4's also...

OK The R4, EZF 3in1, and 2gb MicroSD card arrived today. I'll be playing around with it a bit .
So far, it boots up in about a second and loads a misc homebrew app in 2ish seconds.
