Can anyone suggest offhand how to run a gamecube (with standard 3 pin jacks) to a monitor without a pc? I have an older 19" CRT that would be nice to hook to the gamecube to play some of the older games (I'm a robotron fanatic but all of our tv's are accounted for).
__________________I can easily convert the two audio connectors to a mini-din with a set of computer speakers (I have the necessary splitter/converter for that). The monitor has a male VGA connector and the gamecube has 3 male RCA connectors. I would need a female RCA (single for video line) to a female VGA connector to make it work. I also have an RCA to s-video converter if there is s-video to vga as an option.

I got the audio to work to a set of 2.1 speakers I have on hand.
Now I just have to figure out how to convert an rca video output (male) to a female VGA (or S-video or DVI with adapters I have on hand).

After some digging I found this adapter at a company I've never heard of (its in canada though).
I have no idea if it works or if the company is legit though.

If you had component out I think you could get a break-out cable and a gender changer(for the cable, not you )

I figured that too. The monitor is a brand new Viewsonic 19" E90 CRT (got it for free) with a VGA connector only. If it had composite I could just use a female to female adapter (which I have).

You would need a a converter box of some sort.. VGA signal is different than s-vid/composite signal.

I ended up buying this so i could play mario kart double dash (Still imo the best mario kart) through my 20" monitor: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gadmei-TV-58...8294198&sr=8-2 . Though I may have bought it off ebay to save a few pennies. Works great without any lag, although I couldn't get 60hz to work without it either being black and white or odd colours. I may have to just fiddle around with the settings some more but I can't really be arsed. Comes with a short 3.5mm audio cable so you can plug that into your speakers rather than using the awful built in speaker.
