Well the DSi is cool so far, the camera blows and is absolutely useless but aside from all that, I got this game called pokemon platinum lol. I was an avid fan of red/blue, and always named my characters after their official names. Now my question is, what is the Male Trainers official name (lucas?), and your rivals official name (no idea). Or should I just name the trainer after my own name due to wifi?

Rival does not have an official name if I remember correctly, Male trainer is Lucas, Female is Dawn.

Yea i havent played pokemon in years so i figured eh why the hell not.
Im debating returning the DSi for the DS lite tho. But I think Ill regret it if I do, so I dunno.

Ended up returning my DSi and picked up a black DS lite (only available online, discontinued black in stores near me ) I like the DS lite alot better the design is alot sleeker, and the location of the buttons is better imo.

Now a question about Pokemans. Just wondering what pokemon I should grab for my team early on, so far I love starly the bird

Ya you will also get longer battery life on that DS Lite. I have a black DS Lite and I think its the sleekest thing ever, wouldn't ever trade it for a DSi.

As for the Pokemon I would get a Shinxs, Its the expctric cat type thing that you get all around the first big city you go into. Then I got a Ponyta around where the Rock town is. You can also get an Onix in the mines at the rock town.
