N64 emulator? Have you thought about using one of those and just use your PC itself?

Just warning you that you might get some lag, it might be noticeable or it might not be.

You can just get a fairly decent TV tuner for your PC with RCA plugs. I've done it with my HTPC before. It works flawlessly. It doesn't work with MCE2005, though, so you need a third party app that supports "video" option such as DScaler.

I think you should know that there is about a 5-6 second delay in processing. The digital box in the living room is slow compared to my 12" TV, but even the box is a good 3 seconds faster than my TV tuner.
I think you would be better off doing it directly, with something like this: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.10281

I would also suggest getting a working emulator, what emulators have you tried? the one I'm using looks amazing and has been flawless. PM me and I'll try to help you get an emulator working. having every game ever made and 10x better graphics than the original is worth the trouble to get an emulator working.
