Gamecube?
I'm thinking about purchasing a gamecube to play the Resident Evil Remake and The other Resident Evils (2 and 3). I played RE2 on the N64 and played RE3 on the PC. Is this a good Idea?

You could also get a Wii, they're backwards compatible with all Gamecube games.
Yes, it's worth it, in my opinion. Be sure to check out games like Super Smash Bros Brawl, The Wind Waker, and Metroid Prime.

I literally forgot all about the Gamecube. Why not get a Wii? I'm pretty sure it would be compatible.

If you can find all the games, then yes it's a good idea. I've had a hard time finding the games at a good price, as they're pretty rare now and can be fairly expensive.
The Resident Evil remake for GameCube was brought on Wii with the RE Archives, but it's the only one that was remade. The others on GameCube are 100% ports. They're still amazing, and I love the GameCube controller, so I say they're definitely worth getting on GCN.

If you are just going to be playing the RE games then yeah it's a good idea. I got mine for $35 shipped on eBay. With four controllers (two original), four games (including Melee), and in a like new condition. At the time I bought it Melee at GameStop was $30 IIRC.

If you don't want to buy a brand new Wii... my buddy just picked up a used gamecube from gamestop with a controller for 30 bucks.
On a side note... I WISH you could play melee online. Because I could play that game all day... dashing and dancing never gets old to me and my trusty silver controller!!
