Default Gamecube Cables

I'm thinking of getting the component cables for my girlfriends Gamecube. Are there any picture differences from the generic component cables or the official Nintendo Component cables? Also, is it worth it to purchase these or should I just keep the stock cable for free?

Not worth it in my opinion...Don't get me wrong, I love Double Dash, but I couldn't hardly notice a difference.

I used the component cables on my old Game Cube. There was better colour seperation. Things did look sharp. Not HD of course but it was worth the $10 I paid for them.

I noticed no difference. What matters is the refresh rate of your screen.

If you run an HD TV, the cable is a necessity IMO. Much crisper, sharper, more contrast, better colour.
But only noticeable on a HD TV or PC monitor.

It will look better with the normal def cables because you can see less jagged lines and texture imperfections. Colors will be better on component though

sure component is a huge upgrade from basic A/V cables. However, there is no visual difference between "Nintendo" component cables or some other generic component cables.

Ex. I spent $30 on a 50' HDMI cable online but in a big box store like best buy i can get a 6' Monster HDMI cable for $50. same picture so why would i pay more for less? just an FYI
