Default GC Tales of Symphonia Help?

Okay so this is gonna sound funny but I've beaten the game 3 times in the past but haven't played it in about 2 years.

Instead of going to Izoold to get to Palmacosta I took the Northern path to the eastern continent like I use to do and did all this stuff over there.

I got Boltzman's book, teamed up with Sheena, freed the people of Luin fromt he Asgard ranch, and I still need to get the unicorn horn to save Pietro however Sheena still needs to make the pact with Undine. But theres the problem since I can't go over Hakonesia peak when I go back to Izoold max refuses to take us to Palmacosta due to it being to dangerous.

What have I missed? Lol. I've been thorough but I can't figure out what I gotta do to get down by to the Thoda Geyser? I feel stuck now lol

Can't help you, but the game sounds interesting. Standard JRPG is it? I still have a GC, would it be worth finding this game?
