Default Another NV5R3 or Zalman VF900 buyer :\

Accellero (gee, I'm original >_> ) is also a viable option.

Both are very tempting. Considering I've heard mixed reviews about both, NV5R3 in my mind right now is winning simple because it exhuasts air. However, my motherboard's PCI-e x16 placement stinks (Image of the mobo). This creates a problem as my case, a MidATX case, is one of those generic designs. Fan placement is also a problem. The front fan has a low profile, low enough that if I install the HDD on the lowest slot, the HDD is still blocking the fan somewhat. Install it high enough so it won't block the fan, the HDD will hinder air from going up. Right now the HDD is in the highest 3.5" slot.

My little theory on this, if I leave HDD where it's at, and use a NV5R3, the air from the front fan will go to the videocard. Now don't fret about no air for the CPU, I have a side fan that's more than high enough. If I use the Zalman, there's a chance a hot air pocket will form. However! Also at my disposal is a exansion slot exhaust blower, but unfortunately this directs air in the opposite direction that the Zalman fan would direct air, thus it would be pointless to use it.

Well using the Zalman apart from it being abit big any may cause issues yes it wont exhaust the air and will keep the hot air in your system. I would reccomend getting the Acclero as it seems a better choice. When you say no air to the CPU i hope you still have a HSF on it.

Now that I think about it, I might get a vent to force air where I want it to go.

I don't like how the stock fan on the GPU has it blowing air towards the front.

So buy the NVS5 and exhaust out the back like me. I also added a 80mm fan on to the NVS5 check it out. I dropped about 8-9C off my load temps.
