I'm thinking about getting a better cooler for my 6600LE (probably a VF-700, as that's the only product that is supposed to fit). However, I'm having a tough time finding a RAMsink that fits the TSOP style memory chips. I know the heatsinks come with RAMsinks for BGA, but those are too small. Does anybody know if a standard RAMsink for a RAM chip will fit on TSOP chips (like these: http://www.xoxide.com/ramsink1.html)?

If it doesn't you can always use a hacksaw to trim it off. If you're a DIY person, get an old P2/P3 or older AMD heatsink and start cutting them to size using a sharp hacksaw. YOu might need a vice grip to hold them down. Use standard 3M double sided tape to mount them onto the TSOP ram. In my experience, the temp difference between the 3M double sided tape and arctic thermal adhesive is at most 1degC. Good luck!

Those Thermaltake Copper Ram Sinks, A1978, are probably the best at helping cool TSOP ram chips.
The cheapest I found them was at BestByteinc.com, only $6.99 + $1.82 First Class mail shipping = $8.81. Best Byte is a fine seller too, reviews here, I recieved my ramsinks in 3 days after paying with Paypal.
