Anyway, jumping on the G80 bandwagon here (my bro got himself a GTS at the same time ). I OC'ed mine to 650/1100 and in Oblivion it gets to about 76C. Am I safe?

Not really a secret but still:

The Antec Super Cyclone Blower.

It exhausts more hot air than the actual 8800 cooler does...

I'll post a pic later of it mounted in my case.

Huh. But the 8800's already exhaust it out themselves. You got it blowing in or out?

You just gave me an idea!! We can just reverse blowers so they pull air right into the 8800 cooler's fan!!

Wel it doesnt really work that way.

The videocard sucks up air by itself from the case(I do have a 120mm fan blowing past my videocard, but it doesn't cause much temp drop. It does supply "fresh" air).

The videocard also exhausts warm air from the bottom(3 small red arrows) which is now sucked up by the blower.

When I feel at the back of my case the air exhausted by the blower is warmer than the from the videocard exhaust...

Mooie temps

I've got the BFG 8800GTS also. Nice piece of hardware, well i tweaked around a bit and with my fan @ automic speeds my load temps never exceed 80 degrees and i never hear the card. I'm very pleased

Please do tell
Anyway; thx for the good tip (Rivatuner method) about fan and temperature in this thread.
My 8800GTS dropped from idle 64-66 to a nice and "cool" 52.

Edit: You already told, I thought I was on page two.

Rookie-error ;p
