Zalman VF900 is probably the easiest and near top performing.

You can use an Artic Cooling Silencer 5, ver 3 and saw off .5" of the plastic end. Thermalright HR-03 is supposedly awesome as well but may block some other slots. The Sytrin KuFormula VF1 Plus is also very effective but takes up 1.5 slots and hard to mount fan.

To answer most of your questions: (1) a fridge cannot cool a PC (2) 64-bit OS for over 3.4GB (3) If a PCIe card fits, it should work (4) Resolution, not screen size (5) If you have a question, it is not news (6) Report, not respond to Spam (7) Single-Rail/Non-Modular PSUs are not always better than Multi-Rail/Modular (8) Sequential does not matter as much as random for OS drives

Agreed. I have a VF-900 and it works great! The HR-03 is actually better performing with a good 92mm fan but it will take up room in your case.

i'd get the zalman, but i don't want to use that speed controller thing. nor do i want it on full blast all the time. if it had a 2 pin so i can plug it into the video card and have the video set the rpm's, that'd be great.

You could get a Thermalright HR-03 VGA Cooler. It runs completely passively, and, if you want, you can add a 92 or 120mm Fan on there, hook that up to a Fan Controller, and adjust the speed whenever you want.

i think i may go with the hr-03. i like how i can mount it so it wraps around the card, that it would have 0 change of interfering with pci cards below it.

Make sure you can fit a fan on the unit itself. Or make sure you CPU HSF can blow/suck on it.

If you need a 2/3 pin on the Zalman, just splice the wire or get an adapter.

I'm sure you could mod it, but why don't you want to use the speed controller?

for the hr-04, i have a 120mm fan blowing directly onto my video card.

i don't want to use the speed controller because that's just one more thing i have to mess with.

I run mine full blast all the time, barely a whisper man.. it really isn't loud at all. (you can just plug it into a mobo header)
