Default Zalman vf700?
Will a Zalman VF700-cu LED work on my evga 7900gt co. I don't plan on overclocking, I'm just wanna upgrade the fan because I've heard the on the gt co is crap and causes problems (artifacting, etc.) The package comes with 8 vga ram heatsinks

Yes the VF700 is compatible with 7900GTs, see here.
It's actually a pretty good air cooler, very popular until the VF900 came out, so you should be able to get a decent overclock if you decide to OC.

As ckp64 stated, it will fit. As FlaKing and dualhYbrid the VF900 is more effective.

The VF700 has a flat base that fans out into the fins. The VF900 has a heatpipe setup.

imho, If you can swing for the VF900 you would be doing yourself and your hardware a justice, OC'ing or not.
