Great review, that's an amazing drop in temperatures; but just look at the size difference. :O

Psst, change your system specs.

I might pick up the PCI Slot-Cooler from Thermalright.

The fan on the slot cooler looks to be the same design; the ND-1 fan doesn't spin too fast but it moves a decent amount of air for being so silent ...

Just a quick afterthought ...

If directon.com gets a shipment of HR-03's in this week, then I'll be testing it as well and will simply add it as a reference cooler to this review.

I can't run it with a fan attached, but I'm thinking of testing it mounted on my CPU cooler side to see if the spill out from my Infinities dual fans will work well enough with it to beat the ND-1

Something like this for the HR-03 test:

...

...

BTW ... does anybody know if the HR-03 PLUS, will work
with cards other than the 8800's? I'd rather test it over the standard HR-03

I'd still like to see the VF-900 and the Thermalright HR-03 temps on your exact card, Voltage Modifications and Clock Speeds vary from card to card. So it is in fact hard to compare.

Unfortunately, Directron.com has further postponed the arrival of the HR-03 and so a temp comparison using this will have to wait for another week or so ...

I will do a Zalman VF-900 comparison once I have the money to buy the cooler locally (and later take it back) ... but I think the results will be about like the Vantec Iceberq 6 ...
