ok, i have about $40 to spend on a BFG 6600GT cooler. what is the best one that i can get for that price. i was looking at the Zalman. Newegg only please.

well i talked to my brother about water cooling and he said that i should just wait until i build my next comp. my case isnt well designed for WC. anyway, are there anymore cooling options???

yeah, the zalman VF700Cu's are damn nice GPU coolers for the cash - they even come with ramsinks to use - definitely my suggestion for a 6600

the zalman works great. at full load I dont go over mid 50's now.
only thing thoe. to get the ram sinks to fully cover the ram you have to make some modifications to them.

if your card is agp like Im assuming, it wont fit.
the only air cooler that will fit a 6600GT agp is the zalman. Im getting ready to write up how to modify the ramsinks so they will fit, if you all like it I'll make it a faq. EDIT: ok I made a faq on moding the ramsinks. hopefully that will give you an idea of how to mod em if you choose to use this cooler. http://www.overclock.net/faqs/23343-how-modify-zalman-vf700-cu-ram.html
