Default will my cooler fit on my new 8800GT?

Just ordered an EVGA 8800GT SC, and I was wondering if my nv5 silencer for my 7800gt will fit? If not, which ones will (that have an external exhaust port).

Thanks!

First off, sadly no, 7x series coolers aren't compatible with the new hole placement of these cards

You want to be looking at section 7: Installing an Aftermarket Cooler

I saw this link earlier on a post by THEoBZ.... so I'm giving credit where credit is due... I'm merely transporting the info

SUDDEN FIND!
"Anything that cools a 7900 really well, will suffice for an 8800GT.

The Zalman 900s and better, the Thermaltake DuOrb (I'm begining to detest thermaltake, but this cooler would certainly keep a chip as cool as or cooler than the zalman 900), the thermalright V1, and the the thermalright HR-03 GT would all cool a goo bit better than the stock heatsink."

http://forums.pcper.com/showthread.php?t=448155

apparently its the same hole placement

The Thermaltake ND-1 is probably one of the best, no need to worry about cooling the little chips either becuase the fan draws in air and cools them.

Link to massive pictures of it...
