Default Cheep 8800GT cooling :D

Hey all,

Just got 2 of these cooler for my 8800gt's, and i must say im very impressed. Im useing thermalright V2 coolers. There smaller than the HR-03GT and you can SLI them with no problem. They fit all makes of 8800gt via the 4 hole mount or in the case of my second card the old style 2 hole mount. Stick and 80mm fan on it and it is amazing.

with stock cooling i was idle at 55 and load at 65
with the v2 and 80mm low speed fan idle at 35 load at 45

idle 1h running desktp
load 1h runnung Crysis on High
room temp 18-20c (im in the basment, its cold!)
tests inside a tt armour case with 2 cards in SLI

THATS A -20 DROP!

it comes with 9 ramsinks (6 tall and 3 short) for the mem, if you use the rev1 style cards you might need to pick up a pack of the zalman ramsinks for the voltage regs.

total cost: $30.00 CND for the cooler and $6.00 for the ramsinks VS. 60.00 for the HR-03 (although ive seen it on sale for 45.00 ish)

Just giving you guys the heads up, it works wonders and can cool an 8800gt really well

Looks nice, but I've read that the Accelero S1 by Artic Cooling is better.
